Seasons of Love

We came home from church all full of choir and orchestral music, so we decided to download the fabulous song from the musical RENT, Seasons of Love. Not only does it make for happy dishwashing and lunchmaking, but I thought it was a terrific way to celebrate our past year as well as All Saints Sunday, when we feel all connected with those who have gone on to glory before us. How do you measure life? (See below for the lyrics.)

RENT Seasons Of Love Lyrics

Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Six Hundred Minutes
Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Moments so dear
Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Six Hundred Minutes
How Do You Measure - Measure A Year?
In Daylights - In Sunsets
In Midnights - In Cups Of Coffee
In Inches - In Miles
In Laughter - In Strife

In - Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Six Hundred Minutes
How Do You Measure
A Year In The Life?

How About Love?
How About Love?
How About Love?
Measure In Love

Seasons of Love.
Seasons of Love.

Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Six Hundred Minutes
Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Journeys To Plan

Five Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Six Hundred Minutes

How Do You Measure The Life
Of A Woman Or A Man

In Truth That She Learned
Or In Times That He Cried
In Bridges He Burned
Or The Way That She Died

It's Time Now - To Sing Out
Though The Story Never Ends
Let's Celebrate
Remember A Year In The Life Of Friends

Remember the Love
Remember the Love
Remember the Love
Measure In Love

*
Take care, everyone!
With love, T

  1. Happy All Saints Sunday. I played William Bolcolm's "Graceful Ghost Rag" this morning to celebrate. As the congregation (just about ALL of them) went up to light a candle, I wracked my brains to think who I'd forgotten who died already and could only think of people who DIDN'T die this year, so of course I was thinking of the Speirs family this Sunday and being quite happy to not have to go up and light a candle.
Other people I know and love didn't die this year either, but Bob did it in such a big way that he's always the first I think of
